Ep 13 was The Day of Sagittarius on the DVD. Funny episode. Gotta love Yuki's hacking skills and Mikuru clueless with her neko-man crew was a funny scene also.
Actually, this is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Part 5 which is ep 13 in broadcast order. The Day of Sagittarius is actually ep 11.
Anyway, interesting ep, Haruhi explaining the insignificance of her existence was quit depressing. Our insignificance in this world is so small that having it explained for you is kinda sad.
Yeah but when you get down to it, Haruhi is actually a pretty relatable character on many levels. She doesn't want to be some boring normal human. Of course, we know she isn't. But, the sad thing is she doesn't.
"Yes, I have been deprived of emotion. But not completely. Whoever did it, botched the job."
Huh, episode 13 was about the espers and closed space for me. I only have one more episode to watch but I doubt it will conclude anything. I'll be finishing this series tonight within 30 mins.

This is what "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" IS.
Dvd order - Day of the Sagittarius. I don't think its actually possible to reprogramme a game while its running.... Though the cryengine 3 has that live create thing. I guess its kinda the same in a way.
Anyway I loved this episode. I'm so sad it nearly over. I might skip some of these episodes when watching season 2 if there's nothing changed.
I now understand a lot, this is the episode where we see the Esper's powers, closed space explanation and the Celestials... and for some reason, the order of the episodes so far finally start making some sort of sense.
I watched the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya part V.
I could really relate to loli Haruhi in that scene. I used to think in a very similar manner as her. I think I subconsciously make personal decisions based on what's "original" and different from the average joe's even to this day (not to Haruhi's extent of course, but still). Haruhi's words just felt too familiar. Although, I try to refine my individuality everyday and am pretty happy with how things turned out (especially because of anime). Haruhi will definitely be the same, and more. I just know it :)
Any way, The alternate dimension, the Espers and "Endless" (Rave fans will understand the reference ^^) were pretty intriguing. If Haruhi truly is the subconscious "creator/alterer" of the universe, that's probably only the tip of the tip of the iceberg. It's frighteningly awesome!
Overall a very dialogue heavy episode which pointed out a lot of new and interesting aspects.
Whow, great episode, one of the best imo. Koizumi is probably my favorite character and he got so much screentime this ep. But at the end of it all(because, yeah, it feels really bad but there's only one episode left) the episode order makes more and more sense. I probably wouldn't like as much this anime if I watched them in the original order.
Only one, last, episode remains, what's gonna happen :S
Yuki!!! Haha she's seriously my favorite character. I find it interesting that she listens to Kyon's (and Haruhi's) orders and needs confirmation. That was cute at the end when she said maybe she'll spend some time with the computer club once in a while :) She's grown too as a character.
Watched Melancholy Part V. The Ergo Proxy vibe is strong with this one, and it's not just the BGM. Really interesting considering both shows originally aired at the same time.
Also, while I agree that Suzumiya's animation quality and detail is amazing, especially for the time it was made in, it also makes me appreciate Ergo Proxy even more. Animation wise that show was at least on par with Suzumiya.
All I can say is mind fuck and mind blowing. At first, it is a same repetitive event with different camera angle but it did recycled over more than thousands!!! HOLY!!!
Mikuru when she cried is moegasm. She is too cute <3
Kissing Haruhi will be the best solution to get out of this loop or maybe going out or dating.
This series is worth 10/10
This is worth reading Light novel for the true conclusion to this series. Good job author!! You never fail to surprise me.
I hate Haruhi and Kyon and Koizumi. I am sad that they all have to play along with Haruhi's torture for her wishes. And Kyon doesn't try to solve the riddle of the time loop even on the last day. This sucks. Along with the cliche forced romantic plot development. What bothers me the most is that the time traveler noticed this the first time in this loop, even though no matter how many loops she had been, she should have noticed it before. Fuck her classified info.
Koizumi wants Kyon and Haruhi to have sex so that Haruhi won't bother with dangling the world anymore. This sucks. Kyon can't even think that the deja vu is weird even after seeing the ridiculous things he seen before.
I am relieved next is final episode. I am impatient AF to get over with this series.
Without change,we end up becoming the very person we hate.
I was dead until the moment I met you. I was a powerless corpse pretending to be alive. Living without power, without the ability to change my course, was bound to lead me to a slow death.
Wow, the episode took a depressing turn when Haruhi explained our insignificance. She might actually be the most relatable person in this series (I mean time travellers, robot aliens, and espers don't count). She doesn't want to be a normal, boring person, and sometimes I think that way too.
I'm honestly kinda afraid of Haruhi sometimes. How powerful she is... and how much she doesn't know it. That enclosed space with the divine man... that was really freaky, and more so when Koizumi mentioned that the world could be consumed by that enclosed space if the divine man wasn't stopped.
A time loop, huh? I knew that's going to happen because I knew that there's this one "really hated" arc in this anime. It's looking interesting to me though.
Day of Sagittarius one. Rewatched it, and still one of my favourites. The battle scenes were awesome and hilarious at the same time, especially Mikuru's useless fleet. But what's most awesome is seeing Nagato at her A-game and in her field. She was like a one-woman oiled machine, probably because she kind of is. Loved it!
I've known about the absurd broadcast/chronological orders for a while now, but I wasn't aware of how much they fuck up the way this series is viewed. I'm not sure how I should go about updating this series (given I'm technically already on to season two), but the best option is always the laziest. I hope the people back in 2009 enjoyed having to switch discs if they wanted the optimal way to view this series.
Quite a good episode overall, though I was surprised by how stupid Kyon was. He's usually pretty good at putting two and two together, which is why it so was strange for him to doubt that time was repeating itself. I'm also confused by how these characters recognised their feelings of deja vu. Koizumi says that Kyon and himself are only capable of experiencing such a thing because 'him and Kyon are the closest to Haruhi', though I can't recall an instance where Koizumi and Haruhi have actually spoken to one another (aside from when he was joining the SOS Brigade). I suppose Koizumi does have some closeness to Haruhi because he fights her destructive emotions, but Haruhi has always taken more of a liking to Asahina. I'm pretty sure the only reason she isn't experiencing similar emotions is because she could catch on to time repeating itself way sooner.
I hear that the second season loses its edge in more ways than one, and I suppose my gripes might just be a result of that. I may come out hating the endless eight arc, but I would be glad to have suffered through it with the handful of people who have bothered to comment on the discussion pages. Until this arc concludes, I dub every one to be a realest one, regardless of whether you're watching the chronological order or not.
I just watched the episode about the alternate dimension. According to MAL this episode 13 is actually about Itsuki telling Kyon about Haruhi being able to create said dimension. And now people here say this episode is actually about the Endless Eight. WHY. WHAT IS THE ACTUAL ORDER. HELP.
(The episode I watched was good though, I really liked it, but it felt like a finale episode without being one according to MAL, that's all the more confusing)
So, seeing that this is some alternative version of the last episode I saw, I'm assuming that this must be part of the famous "Endless Eight" that I've been hearing about. Interesting.
I'm so confused. Last discussion, everyone was talking about some music or concert episode but now everyone is on endless eight like I was? LOL I'm more upset about the fact that it's so messed up rather than the fact that it repeats lmao
