*** Filed information on: The Imperial Exathran Kingdom ***
* Last updated: October 25th, 2254 A.D. (28th of Starborne in Hegemony Time) *
The Imperial Exathran Kingdom is a united confederation of various worlds, races, and species with the heart of their territory situated deep
within the coreward Inner Sphere, beyond the Scorpius Cluster. Their capital world, Exathra, rests within the asteroid-littered and
nebula-protected Proxima star system, composed of a near-recordmaking 17 planets, an orbiting micronebula known as the Proximal Cloud, and
two asteroid belts, along with a field that suggested there may have been an 18th planet at one point in time.
Exathra is home to several of their most major species, all of which to human and Sirian observation, very closely resemble various beastial
races of which both civilizations are familiar with. Exathra's primary populations are between the Hyeneda (Hyenid Anthros), Bulvaen (Bovine
Anthros, often looking much like Yak or Oxen, but some that the Terrans have compared to mythological 'Minotaurs' flawlessly), the Canaren
(Various canine races), the Urisine (creatures closely resembling Pandas, but with some slight facial differences and digitigrade legs), and
the Draconites (Anthro Dragons, often varying in styles, colors, and shapes). Other introduced races from long-time annexations to their
Kingdom include various other races, all united under the same banner of the Kingdom... a 5-point star with an ornate, reptilian eye in the
center, and the point of the star facing downward.
--- *** Astrophysical Information regarding Exathra and the Proxima System *** ---
Proxima sits well beyond the reaches of the Scorpius Cluster, a series of star systems to which most of the human constellation 'Scorpio' is
comprised of, but the system's location places it fairly closer to the galactic core, deep enough to be considered part of the 'Inner Sphere' of
the galaxy. The star system hosts a veritable cornucopia of 17 planets and a vast assortment of moons, along with two asteroid belts, an asteroid
debris field, and an expansive micronebula. Just as well, its size more than doubles Sol's diameter. Their star is an unusually-dense white star.
In this order is the planets, their satellites, and other astral 'landmarks':
1: Ngaelus
Type: Volcanic Dwarf
Moons: None
Atmosphere: Carbon Monoxide and Sulfuric Oxides
Known Minerals: Molten Iron and Composite Altrecite Ores, none others have been detected through prospecting
Ngaelus is the first of seventeen planets within the Proxima system, and due to it's unusually-close proximity to the Proxima Star, no safe or
viable colonization plans have been laid out. Surface scans have indicated the above-listed ores present, but in no major abundance to warrant
any investment in a mining operation. The atmosphere is thin enough to still see stars at any time of day, and what air there is has been
measured to be too hot and poisonous for suitable life, usually staying around 589-degrees celsius (1092.2-degress Fahrenheit). Most of the
planet is mountainous, with active volcanoes and lava floes that add to the vast magma rivers and oceans that sear the surface, hinting at a
shattered or heavily-active tectonic subsurface.
2: Xvarog
Type: Barren Terrestrial
Moons: None
Atmosphere: None
Known Minerals: Cobalt, Iron, Aluminum, Composite Altrecite, Copper, naturally-occuring Obsidilite, several pockets of U-238 Uranium,
excessive veins of Vermillite Ore, Gold, Geodes of Silaris; Quaxim; and Theydaris Crystals
Xvarog is the second planet from the Proxima Star, and while its surface is entirely barren, resembling a gray, white-streaked version of Earth's
moon, Luna, it's the subsurface that hustles and bustles with activity. No atmosphere is present on Xvarog, but a few shaft-mines lead into a
'hollow' layer beneath Xvarog's thin crust, revealing massive mining operations and hollowed-out rock formations from extensive subsurface mining.
Careful structural support and advanced 'air pressurizers' allow for limited, high-pressure conditions underneath, helping to prevent collapses
upon mining machinery or up-surges of magma during the operations. This is one of several of the Kingdom's most extensive resource mining
operations, including the exclusive materials used in their unique starship construction.
3: 'Gold Omen' Starbase
Type: Exathran Kingdom Starbase
Purpose: Central Military Offworld HQ, Xvarog Mine Logistics, and Primary Prox-Sec (Proxima Security Force) Command Base
'Gold Omen' Starbase, an Exathran Kingdom super-base, was constructed and completed in 2197 A.D., the Kingdom's first and most expanded-upon
Starbase up to date. It acts, primarily, as the Exathran Kingdom's Imperial Navy Headquarters when not directly reporting to a similar facility
upon Exathra itself, but it also serves as a logistics and shipping point for raw materials being imported from Xvarog's mining efforts, and also
functions as the deployment base for Prox-Sec operations, who specifically act as the primary patrol, defense, and interception of any and all
foreign vessels coming in or out of the Proxima system. Heavy fortifications and defenses suggest it is also an important reinforcing and
rallying point for the Exathran military.
4: Aurigal
Type: Inhospitable Terrestrial (Classified as a 'Demon Planet')
Moons: -Cythis, Barren Terrestrial-
Atmosphere: High-pressure Sulfuric-Acidic Clouds, Extreme Temperatures around 480-degrees Celsius, Corrosive rainstorms
Known Minerals: Sulfur, Iron, Tin, Jaxium Alloys
Aurigal is classified as, what's known to most races, as a 'Demon Planet'.... with incredibly hostile, high-wind atmospheric conditions that could
sear the flesh off of a typical being. Yellow-orangish dust covers most of the planet, with nearly red rock visible through the sand-blasted
winds, almost comparable to Sol system's Venus, with raging acidstorms that strike charged lightning onto the planet and corrosive rain that can
eat away just about any organic material that dares dwell under the yellow clouds. Only a minimum of materials has turned up in prospecting scans,
revealing the planet to be just as worthless for materials as it would be for colonization. It hosts only one barren moon, Cythis, which exists
at a fraction of Aurigal's size, and only serves as a small base for a Kingdom Communications relay.
5: Exathra
Type: Paradisial Terrestrial (exceptionally lush, for a habitable world)
Host Race: Exathran Kingdom (Homeworld)
Moons: -Firex, Volcanic Moon; Eureth, Desert Moon*; Nautilos, Ocean Moon*; Heliox, Gas Dwarf*; Exathran Expanse, Asteroid Micro-field**-
Atmosphere: Oxygen, Carbon-Dioxide, Hydrogen and trace amounts of Helium, pleasantly-cool at an average 12-degrees Celsius
Known Minerals: Iron, Copper, Zinc, Iridescite, Obsidilite, Vermillite, Gold, natural Adamantium (extremely valuable), Palladium-Orihalconite
Alloys, Xenoplasty-Ceramic, Ivorium, Tritanium, Quaxim and Theydaris Crystals, trace veins of 'Hellglass' (possibly planted
from past battles that Queen Vashan, hirself, could have taken place in), Aluminum, Dark Matter, Ebonium, Mithril, Daemonite
* Colonized Moons, through domed installations or platforms.
** Tiny, stable mini-asteroid field, possibly the remains of a fifth moon at one point.
Exathra, the fourth planet from the Proxima star, resides as the Exathran homeworld, and the seat of power for the Imperial Exathran Kingdom. It
hosts a pleasurable, if not slightly cooler atmosphere with cloudy, golden skies, along with a lushly-fertile landscape, though often dotted with
ungrassed dirt highlands and mountain ranges. The vast cities of the Kingdom are often built upon massive stilts, with solar lighting installed
underneath so that the land still thrives with natural life. A good portion of the Proximal Cloud, the Micro-nebula of the star system, engulfs
the planet in a radiation-protective cloud of golden nebular gases, possibly contributing to the paradise-like conditions of the planet. Exathra
is a highly-unique case, where instead of a solid-iron core, it's mantle consists of a strange, unexplained mass of plasmic magma, giving it a
similar violet tint that the planet's oceans has, while the core is consistent of solid Dark Matter. While there is still a magnetic field, it has
substantially less gravity than a planet of its size should, therefore allowing such a larger planet to have similar, if only slightly heavier
gravitational pull than Earth does. Because of the planet's unusual consistency, and strange 'magical' conduits that seemingly stem from the
mantle, it has been considered one of the several 'wonders of the galaxy'.
6: Proximal Cloud
Type: Metaphasic Micro-nebula
The Proximal Cloud, caught in the gravitational field of Exathra, mostly envelops the planet in a protective, 'metaphasic' atom field, providing
radiation protection and, thus, adding to the planet's existing ozone layer. This 'metaphasic' effect also has been observed to seemingly recharge
most kinds of energy-based shielding, and the 'magical adepts' of the Kingdom have been reputed to foretell of a 'strengthening' effect to their
power. The golden, hazy hues of this nebula has been carefully scanned, and seems to provide no known drawbacks to the planet or its people, with
obvious exception to astronomers trying to glimpse upon the stars through such a haze. Navigational buoys have been deployed throughout its
densest parts, so as to forewarn ships not to speed through and end up crashing into the planet, or its moons, satellites, and orbital shipyards.
On Exathra's outermost bands of orbit and deep within the Cloud, the Jeweled Mists starbase greets the galactic tradelanes for Exathra as a
functioning trade center, and also doubles as a Cultural welcoming center for exclusively-allowed tourists and diplomats.
7: 'Ward' Inner Asteroid Belt
Type: Asteroid Belt
Known Minerals: Cobalt, Ebonium, Adamantium (extremely valuable), Iron, Tritanium, Daemonite
Mining Operations: Yes
The inner asteroid belt of the Proxima System, the Kingdom has been known to call it the 'Ward', because of its position in the system seemingly
protecting Exathra and the system's star. While the asteroids are mostly subtle in their movements, passage is still recommended through
'trails' laid out by asteroid-attached navigation buoys. Exathran mining operations have long-since been deployed in various points upon the belt,
extracting minerals out of many of the larger rocks and shipping them to one of three orbital refinery stations within the fields, which then
refine the metal ores to be shipped back to Exathra.
8: Juthel
Type: Gas Supergiant
Moons: - Hyth, atmosphere-less ice moon; Xil, Volcanic moon; Shinopa, barren planetoid; Omixa, magma-covered 'fireball'-
Juthel, the fifth planet from the Proxima star, is a gaseous supergiant of a jovian planet, hosting a very tiny solid rock, but an immense amount
of atmosphere that consists of swirling maelstroms of helium and carbon-oxide gases. Storms rage across its surface at incredibly lethal speeds,
and flying any sort of vessel, even heavily-reinforced, can end up extremely hazardous from the sheer force of the winds.
9: Maugureth
Type: Gas Supergiant
Moons: - Jxul, jungle-covered moon*; Vilix, barren moon; Hydrix, desert moon**-
* Not colonized, but home to archaelogical ruins, thus making an excellent scientific site
** Utilized as a military outpost
Maugureth acts as a slightly smaller, but still tremendous gas giant than Juthel, but a starkingly-unique difference sets it apart. Maugureth,
along with hosting two habitable moons and being closest to the primary 'Jump Point' out of the Proxima system to the Chandrul star system, also
hosts a strange mixture of oxygen and hydrogen in its atmosphere. This, coupled with the serene weather conditions, has made for a dense but
breathable atmosphere, and thus, platforms of colony cities and hydrogen-processing platforms exist. It's jungle moon, Jxul, hosts a variety of
strange, ancient ruins... suggesting an alien presence within the star system at one point in time, while Hydrix, a large desert planetoid, is
not so colonized as it is claimed by the Imperial Navy, using it as a security outpost to keep close guard upon the frequently-used jump point.
10: Antioch
Type: 'Twilit' Desert world
Moons: Aximus, 'twilit' desert moon
Host Race: Exathran Kingdom (major colony)
Atmosphere: Oxygen, Carbon-Dioxide, Hydrogen, and Methane; hosts a widely-varying average of 14-degrees celsius
Known Minerals: Brass, Palladium, Ebonium (in exorbitant abundance), Wraithshade and Talx Crystals, Gold, Tritanium
Antioch is an unusual but habitable desert world, with only a slight 28% water mass that consists of several interlacing rivers... no oceans. It's
often remarkably cool from the ease of wind flow, but the horizon of the planet is scorching hot, and is the only band of the planet not easily
passable as a result. Its sands are an eerie blackish-violet, as if it was once made of Obsidilite that was ground down into so much dust. The
Kingdom has constructed major colonies on this world, utilizing it as another mining point for Ebonium and the ever-elusive crystals on its surface
as well as a vast space of manufacturing centers and industrial sectors. Its moon, Aximus, eerily copies its parent planet to a fault, and the
Kingdom uses the moon as its primary hub for shipyards and fleet logistics supply centers, making it a very busy hub for both commercial,
domestic, and military fleets.
11: Yumil & Vinchioss
Type: Twin Gas Supergiants
Moons: Ilus, barren ice moon; Scion, mineral-rich Volcanic moon*; Fest, blizzard moon**
Atmosphere: Hydrogen, Methane, Carbon-Monoxide (Vinchioss)
* Scion hosts another major Kingdom mining center, but not as planet-hollowed as Xvarog has been, mining up vast quantities of Obsidilite,
Vermillite, and Adamantium.... three of the Kingdom's most valuable and sought-after ores.
** Information on Fest is minimal, but structures have been detected on this moon, and rumors of top-secret Exathran research labs have been
intercepted, up to and including military weapons research labs. This has not been confirmed.
Another oddity of Proxima, the system's eighth and ninth planets are a pair of gas giants that are caught swirling about one another during their
elliptical orbit around the star. Yumil hosts similar swirling storms like Juthel, while the calmer but more poisonous swirls of Vinchioss keep
its smaller, sister gas giant in check. Their two moons are caught between the two planets' gravitational fields, and therefore, both moons do
not orbit their respective planets like most satellite planetoids usually do, while the third follows a wide, elliptical orbit around the two.
12: Palladius
Type: Semi-arid 'Spice' terrestrial
Moons: Silvus, barren desert moon; Palladia Orbital Civil Science Station, civilian science starbase
Host Race: Exathran Kingdom (minor mining colony)
Atmosphere: Oxygen, Carbon-Dioxide, Hydrogen, Helium, Deuterium-trace gas
Known Minerals: Iron, Gold, Copper, Basalite, Victorium, Tritanium, Orihalconite, Vixil Crystals, Shinxu spice, Palladium
Palladius is a relatively arid world with limited but breathable atmosphere. It's primarily the site of a mining colony, extracting the abundant
but sparsely-varied minerals the planet has to offer, but it also is an interesting source of Shinxu Spice, one of the rare commodities of the
galactic community. This spice is used in a variety of ways, including being a food additive. The planet also hosts an orbital civilian science
station, mainly focused on studying the properties of the spice and its applications, along with various other factors pertaining to the planet's
atmospheric conditions and of the Vixil crystals found across its surface.
13: Jarthungandur (Often abbreviated into 'Jarth')
Type: Gas Supergiant
Moons: Sigil, Mineral-rich planetoid
Atmosphere: Hydrogen, Acethane Gas
Jarthungandur is, easily, the largest planet in the Proxima system, with sheer voluminous gases and raging, swirling storms of charged hydrogen
clouds flashing throughout its hazy swirls of dark red and ebony clouds. It is comparable, in human terms, to be four times the size of Jupiter,
and yet, it only hosts a single, small planetoid, Sigil. The surface of this moon is absolutely littered in rich, uncommon minerals and crystals
used in both mundane and magical uses for the Kingdom.
14: Vestus Asteroid Belt
Type: Asteroid Belt
Known Minerals: Iron, Tritanium, Aluminum, Tin, Copper, Gold, Platinum, Obsidilite, Palladium (in excessive quantities), Orihalconite, Jade,
Vermillite Ore, Cobalt, Ebonium Ore, Nikolite, Chromimite
Mining Operations: Yes
The Vestus Asteroid Belt, unlike the 'Ward', is not nearly as serene, as the much-larger fields of asteroids commonly bash against one another. The
biggest chunks reside deep within the center, cleared only in certain 'space lanes' for larger cap-ships to pass safely-enough through, with both
navigational buoys and Type-1d laser Point-Defense mines to keep the asteroids at bay. Proxima's twelfth planet also resides within the active,
mineral-rich asteroid belt, even more mineral-saturated... but also constantly pelted by the smaller, chaotic meteorites, making it not only
unsuitable for permanent colonization, but dangerous.
15: Vestra
Type: Barren Terrestrial
Moons: None
Atmosphere: None
Known Minerals: Iron, Tritanium, Aluminum, Tin, Copper, Gold, Platinum, Obsidilite, Palladium, Orihalconite, Jade, Vermillite Ore, Cobalt,
Ebonium Ore, Nikolite, Chromimite, Vestrium Ore, Adamantium (extremely valuable), U-238 & U-235 Uranium, Zinc, Iridium,
Tungsten, Valmite; Vixil; Talx; Theydaris; and Quaxim Crystals, Tri-Strontium alloys, Nickel, Ferrite
Vestra, the twelfth planet from the Proxima star, resides boldly within the same orbit as the Vestus asteroid belt. The lack of atmosphere, the
oceans of corrosive phosphorous acids, and constant bombardment by the smaller, faster asteroids of Vestus make the surface of the black,
green-pooled planet even more hazardous. But while the surface conditions are horrendous, the Kingdom has dug into the planet via artificial
ducts, creating vast mining networks within the richly-saturated insides of the planet, harvesting many abundant rare minerals, including the
Exathran Kingdom's only source of Vestrite via the Vestrium Ore they process, using the materials for latest versions of Dark Matter power cores.
16: Ihlux
Type: Gas 'Fringe' planet
Moons: Vai'ir, Barren Ice moon; Proxima Drive Yards, auxilary military shipyards & outer security base
Atmosphere: Freon, Halogen, Argon-Cyanide (gas collectors in place)
Ihlux, the thirteenth planet, hosts an elliptical orbit around the Proxima star, occasionally swapping places with Shimrax for the fourteenth-place
position in the star system. While the planet hosts the only Gas Planet atmosphere that holds no Hydrogen, it supports a rare mixture of
Argon-Cyanide gases used in the standard Pulse Lasers and Photon Disperser cannons the Kingdom uses. As such, it is guarded by a complex of
military-grade shipyards that support their primary yards inside the system, along with a Prox-Sec starbase to keep an eye on the system's two
remaining jump points further out on the fringe ring of Proxima. It's close location to the Argus System jump point makes it an excellent
rally point, according to military strategists.
17: Shimrax
Type: Gas 'Fringe' planet
Moons: Charos, Barren Terrestrial moon; 17 large asteroids (too small to be considered full moons); Cosmic Dust ring
Atmosphere: Hydrogen, Helium, Freon, Phosphorous
Shimrax is a cold Gas world, following a perfectly circular orbit around Proxima... occasionally exchanging positions of numeric order with Ihlux's
elliptical orbit. The planet hosts a dense ring of cosmic dust, much like Sol's Saturn and Baku from the Ariel system. It hosts the largest
number of natural satellites in the Proxima system, even if most of them are simply large, deformed quasi-moons that only classify as abnormally
large asteroids in the Galactic Database.
18: Hog-Sorthal
Type: Ice Dwarf
Moons: Embrothe, Volcanic moon
Atmosphere: Hydrogen, Helium
Known Minerals: None
Hog-Sorthal, the fifteenth planet, is a tiny, frozen-over world that hosts a slightly smaller moon that each orbit around one another. Many on
Exathra consider the tiny, far-out planet to be a stellar sign of universal balance, a striking comparison between 'fire and ice', as the two swirl
relatively rapidly around one another during their orbit around Proxima.
19: Muirhead
Type: Habitable Terrestrial
Moons: Vershire, barren moon
Atmosphere: Oxygen, Argon, Carbon-Dioxide, Hydrogen, Helium
Host Race: Exathran Kingdom (minor colony)
Known Minerals: Iron, Copper, Tritanium, Ebonium
Muirhead, despite its distance from the Proxima star, is the last bastion of distanced civilization in the same star system before the edge. It
hosts a rather chilly, taiga-like climate at approximately 9-degrees Celsius, average, and hosts coniferous forests around its Equator, while the
poles of the planet are iced over with incredibly low temperatures. Only minor settlements have arrived on Muirhead, founding only two major
cities across the breadth of the wintery planet... the remainder being independent settlements and climate-controlled farms. Most of the Canaren
'Wylvoss' have settled the planet, and host a common culture of their own (Basically, quite comparable to Norse Wolves).
20: Boreas
Type: Ice Dwarf
Moons: None
Atmosphere: None
Known Minerals: None
Boreas, the last planet in line, is a frozen ice dwarf on the very outer fringes, and just beyond it, the Jaxis System jump point hides in the
planet's shadow... acting as a 'back-door' point. The only things beyond that is space, itself, and an old satellite caught in its orbit, aged
but functional... transmitting sensor data back into the system and doubling as a communications relay through the jump point. It hosts barely
any rock under the ice at all, and a very lightweight solid iron core, the planet completely frozen solid from it's sheer distance from its host
star.
--- *** History *** ---
Thanks to the Kingdom's 'Keeper Archives' and a diplomatic move to freely share historical information, recent information has flourished on
the past of the Exathrans and how they became such a strong force as a known, galactic power. Around the 1100's in Earth Galactic Standard, the
Kingdom was born from a flourishing knowledge and curiosity, as science and understanding spread throughout the various tribal cultures. By
1279 A.D., the planet entered into an Industrial Revolution, as new metals were being found and researched.... new inventions calling for better
methods of production. This period also ushered in an era of newfound Religion, as the current Monarch of the Kingdom, Queen Vashan Ixiona Darksol,
was realized to have otherworldly capabilities. The infantile 'civilization' had not encountered such power before, and thus, a vast religious
movement swept across the lands, until the very Monarch hirself and hir aides at the time managed to quell it. Many historians today wonder why
the Demon Queen made such a selfless move, but our inquiries presently have not been answered.
By the end of the religious fiasco, the Kingdom had truly been born... utilizing rapidly-advancing technology to usher in an age of prosperity and
growth... but what nations that didn't annex themselves into the growing Kingdom sought to destroy it, and thus, the planet's second-worst chapter
of bloodshed began in what was labeled as the 'Industrial War', as the Kingdom fought against several attacking nations. But under the wise and
clever leadership of the Queen and hir own brand of tactics, the opposing nations fell, their reputably-'notorious' leaders either surrendering to
annexation, or forcibly liberated. After the final conflicts burned out, by 1897 A.D., the planet had been unified under the Kingdom's prosperous
banners.
By the 1900's, Exathran technology rivaled 21st-century Earth and 16th-century Toria... and continued to excel with the unique conditions of their
planet. Against most of the known civilizations' beliefs, magic was proven to be a true power by the Exathrans (despite various races of the known
quadrant's telling of having 'shamans', 'mystics', and other examples of the occult amongst them), and with exceptionally-rare materials found to
be in unprecedented abundance within their home system, were able to conjure unique technologies that often leap-frogged their tech beyond the
ideal rate of progression. Space exploration soon became viable, colonization shortly after... and even in such space-borne infancy, the Kingdom
had an impressive Navy, as the Queen knew there were other races amongst the stars due to hir reputed past in 'Hell'.
By 2022 A.D., something just as unprecedented happened. Various worlds amongst the infantile communities of our galactic quadrant were
simultaneously invaded via strange 'portals', as what were commonly described as 'Demons'. Many worlds were bloodied, and only the resilient races
amongst us today were able to drive back the invading, interdimensional beings... Exathra included. Other, lesser civilizations, such as the
once-proud Atexian Union of Clans and the Verthal Republic, were rendered extinct by this supernatural assault. To read more on the
'Brimstone Conflict', please refer to our related encyclopedia within our extensive libraries.
It should also be noted that several 'unconfirmed' sources have told that an extreme few of these 'portals' still remain open today, most notably
with the Terran Federation and the Exathran Kingdom, but officials have denied any existence of 'deliberately-open Rifts'. It has also been noted
that these sources are also outspoken 'conspiracy theorists', and host a variety of unfounded rumors.
--- *** Social Structure, Culture, Diplomatic Relations, and Economic Structures *** ---
Up to this day, the Exathran Kingdom remains one of the known quadrant's most powerful and prospering nations... but they keep political and
diplomatic ties to a minimum. While they host an Embassy on Corsaira Prime and several key Ambassadors and Consulates make their Kingdom's
interests heard to the Galactic Council and Senate, they have refused to become a full member of both houses for reasons unclear. It can be
possibly attributed to the Kingdom's various and unusual policies and culture. Exathran culture values Wisdom and Integrity, but above all else,
they value Freedom, as 'all creatures of the galaxy were born with free will, and thus, have the irrevokeable right to express it'. However, a
certain degree of vigilance is also practiced within Exathran society, as 'wrongful expressions' of these freedoms has been countered with a
'no-holds-barred equal freedom of defensive aggression', allowing any citizen of the Kingdom to freely defend themselves against an attacker by
way of an ages-old challenge of honor... a highly-lethal challenge match that is charactarized by most civilizations as a 'barbaric duel to the
death'.
Because of the Kingdom's efficient infrastructure, excellent melding of 'wisdom' into their educational system, and the effective leadership and
social structure as shaped by their undying loyalty to their Queen, crime exists only at a sheer minimum within their territories, the bulk of
such illicit activity during present day usually carried out by interstellar pirates, foreign smuggling consortiums, and the occasional crimelord.
Kingdom economy also performs with an unusual stability, not taking place in the form of stocks, financial bonds, and other economic traits, but
rather, combined with their common sense of 'honor', the Exathrans utilize a simple trading system, putting their wealth not into 'credit' or
'bank notes', but rather, making their very currency the wealth itself, keeping an ages-old 'gold coin' system. Vast trade centers are also
commonplace within Exathran cities, where Exathrans can go to buy the products and services they desire, while the most base needs, such as food,
water, and important services such as 'career assistance' are provided absolutely free of charge, as the governmental 'tax-heavy' budget can
reciprocate the monetary needs for its citizens for them, thus entirely eliminating poverty and starvation altogether, along with a simple and free
medical system.
Various religions still exist within the Kingdom's borders, as their policy allows freedom of religion, just as the Terrans possess. But the
Exathran people, above most of their other member worlds, possess a particular spiritualism and attunement to the natural elements: Wind, Water,
Fire, and Stone... having taken to naming them after various mythological names that Vashan hirself had provided (which, coincidentally, share the
same names as several planets within the Sol system, much to the Terrans' irritation): Venus, for Stone... Mars, for Fire... Jupiter, for Wind...
and finally, Mercury (ironically), for Water. A few inquiries about other possible deities for other natural occurences have been met only with:
Charon, for Shadow, and Solaris, for Light.
Socially, the Exathran Kingdom enjoys a sense of equality amongst one another, and while slavery isn't technically forbidden, a willing relation
between 'Pets' and their masters are perfectly allowed. There is no particular caste system at all, as any species can pursue any career or
activity they desire within reason, so long as they wish to and can perform with the skills they have... but it has been noticed that some
particular trends occur between various species. For example, the Bulvaen and Urisine more often apply for heavy-duty jobs, such as mining,
logistics, and construction, while others such as the Draconites and Canoren freely apply themselves into more intellectual pursuits. The
Hyeneda seem to often handle administrative functions, considering their population is the largest of all, and are great for comedy and
recreational purposes. Exathran citizens also freely express themselves through arts, architecture (since artistic touches to their stylish
buildings allows for a variety of styles amongst communities), and through romance. Marriage does not quite exist within the Kingdom, instead
bonding with the one or more that an average citizen loves.... and thus taking in various 'mates' that all share love freely, making dramatic
relationship problems very scarce... though not un-heard of.
--- *** Military Strength, Structure, and Doctrines *** ---
Unlike the carefree and content social lives of Exathran people, their Military is trained differently. Those who reach a certain age during
their schooling are given a test that measures their physical and mental attributes. When scores are decent enough, the successful are offered
're-training' into the branch of service best suited for their abilities. This 're-training' uncharacteristically borders what most civilizations
consider 'illegal science', as new troops are not only entered into regular training regiments, but are, over time, injected with special agents
that genetically enhance them into flawless, strengthened troopers. Dietary intakes are increased to handle muscle growth and sharpening of
visual and mental abilities, and a psychological regiment reinforces moral choices and briefs the enhanced being on difficult situations. Beyond
that, much is classified beyond what records can fill.
Some of the Arcane Universities' graduates are offered special positions as battlemagi, further enhancing ground force capability with support
powers like no other nation has. Pilots and support staff are trained at specialized schools rather than being slated for 'enhancement', and
officers are trained at their very own academy, to which the location has never been disclosed for defensive reasons.
As for military structure, there are a few branches of service, but while the others seem to still be classified on who, exactly, they are, the
only two branches are the two almost all races of the known galaxy has run into. The first, and most known and most common of them all is the
Imperial Navy, the space-based fleets of the Royal military... while the second is a minor but critical support fleet only known as the Exathran
Ministry of Mining, Survey, and Scavenging... which is really quite self-explanatory, handling the logistics, supply, and prospecting work of the
Kingdom.
Technologically, the Kingdom, considering only the races of known space, rivals only the Sirius Hegemony in an arms race, hosting the unique
technologies that their Dark Matter research has made possible. Their vessels are lined with overlapping layers of Vermillite alloys and a
polymer-finish Obsidilite plates, giving their vessels a naturally alternating color scheme of almost golden ablative plates with glossy, black
hulls. This allows their vessels to take surprising punishment, with overlapping levels of the light-weight armors... as the reflective surfaces
of the Obsidilite has a tendency to reflect conventional energy weapons off the plating... all but a straight shot, while the Vermillite materials
utilize their heavier weight and hexagonal plate design to act as a reinforcing point to absorb kinetic attacks and blasts... literally able to
'shed' damaged plates once their armor value is exhausted, using the remaining plate as both a free-floating ablative layer and a chaff against
torpedoes. Weapon-wise, their technology is equally just as exotic... often hosting arrays of destructive, Dark Energy-based 'Disruptors',
shield-penetrating metallic slugs fired from Mass Driver cannon turrets, and Dark Energy torpedoes that, upon impact, can release a sudden but
temporary burst of sheer gravitational pull that causes a temporary micro-blackhole to form against their target. Countless theft attempts upon
Kingdom research labs has been well-documented... with very little successes, preferring to keep their edge in combat purely a monopoly.
--- *** Foreign Outlooks upon the Kingdom *** ---
Due to several conflicts of interests or some bold or rash decision from the leadership, the Kingdom often finds itself at odds with its galactic
neighbors, and while the Kingdom, in general, seems to be a rather benign nation with its people, many have expressed concern or hostility
regarding the Monarch hirself, in regards to what shi is, choices shi's made, and some of the dark habits shi possesses. None of the Kingdom's
loyal citizens really question their sovereign Monarch, considering shi's held the throne since the nation's inception a millenium ago, but many
outside of it's borders do. Some are simply criticists remarking on their disapproval with policies and what few laws the Kingdom has, despite
its surprisingly positive effect on its people, but others take more serious standpoints, revealing that the Monarch's emotions clouds judgment and
has led to rash, immoral decisions in the past. No proof of this has been revealed, but there has been certain times that HAVE been recorded
where the Kingdom has taken actions uncharacteristic of their morally-correct nature, such as the mass-destruction of Alegor IV, a Terran Colony
during their initial border skirmishes that nearly led to a war... and the few prisoners during the Kingdom's wars has told fantastic, but
unconfirmed, tales of the vicious interrogations they were sat through by none other than either the Monarch hirself, or some of hir top officers.
They also foretold of unearthly music that played near hir most of the time, seemingly frightened to even remember such experiences.
There has also been strange rumors from such traumatized survivors that the Monarch, while shi seemingly does try to restrain hirself to act
honorably, has been known to host not only a violent temper, but rumors tell that simply being around hir almost seems like a challenge in itself,
as shi's been described to have a 'corruptive' aura of some sort at times, but not always. This is, also, unconfirmed, but hir rare appearances
at necessary diplomatic meetings have had similar tales at times, along with lengthy description of the Queen's excessive quietness during such
meetings. Psychologists have been trying to determine what could've scarred these survivors so horribly, but without legitimate proof, these
have only been recorded as rumors and mere speculation.

*** Filed information on: The Imperial Exathran Kingdom ***
* Last updated: October 25th, 2254 A.D. (28th of Starborne in Hegemony Time) *
The Imperial Exathran Kingdom is a united confederation of various worlds, races, and species with the heart of their territory situated deep
within the coreward Inner Sphere, beyond the Scorpius Cluster.
