I'm releasing a proof of concept for "Buffet: A Vore Game" right now: https://m0b1.itch.io/buffet
If you play it let me know if you're interested in me developing it into a full game!
How To Play: The number on your left is your energy. You can play the cards in your hand to their seats if you have enough energy, otherwise finish your turn. You can drag the prey cards into the seated preds, at the end of each turn they will digest. Each digested prey increases the score!

Im enjoying the concept, but would enjoy somthing like an Endless mode. And a turns left coubter. Besides that its a nice PoC.

For now yeah! An almost endless mode is possible but I'll probably expand it in some other ways instead

I can understand that, I think a good idea could be either making multiple gamemodes. Possibly changing the turn sizes so the later cards feel more impactful. The 5 cost 2 digestion is really just not good unless it's buffed by maknig it a 4 cost, or 3 digestion. It has a lot of space, but yeah! I think good gamemodes could be 6 turn limit, 12 turn limit, etc

I recall, years ago, that Duamutef had an interesting card game. If you never tried it, it's probably impossible to find now, since Duam apparently passed away some years ago. Think it was called Cartovore or something like that. If you can find it and get it to work, it might help inspire you!

My highscore is 81. I know it's an early build, but here's a tierlist of preds (in order from best to worst)~
Top Tier:
Kayla- getting her can be the difference between a low scoring round and a high one. Double the points is just too good.
Shyla- Decent capacity with great base digestion makes her a priority if you get her. She digests healers better than Cristina. Speaking of...
Mobi(Cat)- Digestion rate is more important than stomach capacity. Getting cat Mobi and Jules on round 1 makes this cat a must have (otherwise, you're stuck up shit creek).
Low Tier:
Cristina- Pretty good early in the game and that's it. The problem is her base digestion strength being the lowest in the game. Round 2 Stuff a bunch of healers and squirrels in her, she counters the healer and damages the squirrels enough for your other preds to eat her. Past round 4 or 5, she's worthless asides from maybe squirrels and Jules.
Gianni- Highest base stomach capacity makes her great for stuffing her full of fodder below 4 or less health. Besides that, she doesn't have much value. With only six rounds, getting her in the fifth round means she's only good for making space for more prey.
Mobi- Like I said, digestion strength is king, stomach capacity is not. The fact you need to build up Mobi's stomach capacity early in the game isn't helpful considering you get her in round two. It's neat that with enough attention she can surpass Gianni in stomach capacity. But I'd rather have Gianni (or any other Pred) over Mobi.

Some ideas on how I would patch this:
- Don't have players draw preds they couldn't possibly afford yet. I don't want to draw Gianni on round 1.
- Have there be a way to clear space on the table for more preds. Either by giving us more space or having the ability to replace preds somehow.
-Finally, a maximum of 10 rounds would do this game justice. Like everyone else says, endless mode is good too (though I think a timed mode would be better)
I'm already assuming you're going to add more preds and prey and the future and I wish you luck. This game is addicting to play and has taken hours of my time already. XD

Woah! I'm impressed you went so deep into it, love it!
The bigger change for the next update will be moving the max turns to 10 (Maybe capping the energy gain somewhere around 5-6) and adding special cards that will allow, for example, to remove preds from their seats

I think it would be better if it could potentially go on forever and there was instead some kind of "lose condition." Maybe it would end if a turn passes without anyone being digested? Mobi may need a nerf in that case, but it's one possibility.

Holy hell. This is incredible. The first play I had no idea what was happening, and then suddenly everything clicked. I only got 61 after about 5 playthroughs, but I love the mechanics so far, super interesting how they combine.
It's an enormous change if you go down this road, but I was also kinda hoping there'd be some mechanics (maybe just a specific card) that you could eat your own allies. I had a lot of Giannas in hand at times, and if I could just shove them into my own Christina... >_> (´┓`*)

Up to 81 now. So like what kind of plans do you have. Would this be purely one player against a bot. Or would a deck consist of pred and prey cards to battle against an opponent. The generic talking points, more cards, don't eliminate bad draws it's part of the fun. Not every solitaire deal is winnable. More cards, sound effects. Great idea though.

Perhaps some sort of bonus effect if you clear the board with belly space left. If it was a pred vs prey then it could be each player plays both sides and whoever digests the most is successful.

Just found the game, and it's surprisingly fun for a simple card game. There's a good amount of strategy needed to get high scores, and you don't depend on luck too much. It's also pretty well balanced!
Perhaps some background music would make it "livelier"?

Nice. After a few tries I managed to get 639 points on a normal 10-round game by filling up Mobi with a ton of prey and trying to max out my redraw prey economy using Deyla.

Tried the infinite mode to see how quickly I could break point powers of 10 points with Juno+Deyla+Nexxi combo in 0.3.1.
Turn 12: 1000.
Turn 17: 10000.
Turn 28: 100000.
Turn 54: 1000000.
It was not easy since my strategy basically involved using a hundred redraw hands a turn to hunt down ten capacity boosts every turn, but I did ultimately get a million points!

I like the game. Completed it twice using Sarah and Gianni. High capacity predators and instant digestion is a very effective combo, and unwanted prey can be removed with the "release all when eaten" prey. Maybe a bit late, 2 years after release, but if you still accept suggestions, i would like to see a predator with the effect "when eating prey triggers digestion on them with x% chance" and a prey that triggers it on themselves when eaten.

Actually the game is still getting updates every so often!
